About E-Week
Engineers Week was founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). It is among the oldest of America’s professional engineering outreach efforts. In concert with more than 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies. Each year, the Chattanooga Area of Tennessee officially opens Engineers Week with a Kick-off Luncheon.
Chattanooga engineering community come together during E Week, to bring attention to the contribution engineers make throughout the ages. We celebrate engineering projects, achievements, and people. Locally, engineering awards are presented during an annual award event.
Chattanooga E Week, as a collaboration entity of local engineering societies, supports engineering programs and STEM activities in the region.
Engineer of the year award
The Engineer of the Year Award is the highest honor presented during Chattanooga Engineers Week, recognizing an outstanding professional whose work exemplifies excellence, innovation, and leadership in the engineering field. This award celebrates individuals who have made significant technical contributions, advanced their profession through mentorship and service, and demonstrated a lasting impact on the Chattanooga community. Each recipient embodies the creativity, integrity, and dedication that define the spirit of engineering excellence in our region.
